New partnership will accelerate the leader in Network Optimised Livestreaming to scale globally

21 October, 2021

Harvest Technology Group (ASX: HTG) today announced it has joined the Inmarsat Application and Solution Provider (ASP) Programme, an ecosystem for providers of software, hardware and solutions, and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) in commercial land markets. As an ASP member, Harvest will gain access to Inmarsat’s global L-band satellite connectivity network, ELERA, and worldwide reach to scale its solutions into new sectors and geographies.

The Australian company’s ground-breaking livestreaming solutions securely stream high-definition, real-time video, voice and data over ultra-low bandwidth connectivity enabling communications for remote locations, or networks with restricted bandwidth.

Harvest’s Network Optimised Livestreaming solutions cut data usage on existing networks by up to 80% with much lower bandwidths than previously possible. Even with ultra-low bandwidth connectivity, remote workers can livestream 30 fps HD video, high-res images, two-way communications, and data in real-time ensuring users can carry out their activities in remote locations safely and efficiently.

Commenting on Harvest Technology Group’s membership in the ASP, Mike Carter, President, Enterprise at Inmarsat, said: “Inmarsat is pleased to welcome Harvest Technology to our ASP programme and to be working with them to support their ambitious growth plans. Innovative solution providers like Harvest are using leading-edge technology to help industries respond to some of the biggest global challenges. Inmarsat stands ready to support their journey through the provision of reliable connectivity through our industry-leading ELERA narrowband network, as well as go-to-market alignment and support.”

Paul Guilfoyle, Group CEO of Harvest Technology Group comments: “Here at Harvest, our ambition is to improve connectivity for front-line team members and the people that support them. Our ability to maintain the highest level of security and data fidelity during transmission means we provide an ideal solution for companies in all industries.

“Harvest gives customers in some of the world’s most remote or dangerous locations ‘eyes and ears’. Our solution enables them to reliably manage their operations to increase efficiency and reduce costs, but more importantly, keep people out of harm’s way.

“We’re thrilled to join Inmarsat’s ASP programme because we have reached the stage of our growth, where we need reliable, global connectivity, and a trusted partner to help us scale across our business in the mining, oil and gas, and utilities industries.”

The Inmarsat ASP Programme is open to new entrants, disruptors and established brands of any size who have developed an innovative digital product or service but may need additional support to exploit the benefits of satellite-enabled IoT solutions. Inmarsat provides dedicated technical guidance on how to integrate and support its highly-reliable satellite services, go-to-market strategy planning and exposure to the Inmarsat distribution channel to enable access to new markets.

Providers working across a diverse range of industries, including agriculture, aid and NGO, energy, exploration and leisure, media, mining, transport and utilities, as well as agnostic technology providers will be considered for membership.

Companies operating in locations and regions without reliable connectivity, or which have mission-critical connectivity needs, use the Inmarsat ASP programme to access a broad choice of satellite-enabled Internet of Things (IoT) solutions developed by a range of providers that enhance the efficiency, safety and sustainability of their businesses.
